A quiet base on Lake Bracciano, to discover Rome without staying in the middle of it

CasaCucù is an independent holiday apartment in Anguillara Sabazia, 600 metres (a 10-minute walk) from the lake and the old town. It is made for guests who want to stay a week, not just a weekend: a couple with children, or two couples of friends.

In the morning, the train to Rome; in the afternoon, the lakeside promenade. The next day, the Etruscan tombs of Cerveteri or the villages of Tuscia. And in the evening, silence.

• Rome by train: Anguillara station is 3.5 km away, best reached by car. From there, line FL3 takes 30–40 minutes to Valle Aurelia (change to Metro line A), 35–45 to San Pietro and 40–50 to Trastevere, depending on the train. Getting here

The apartment
